Ingredients:
- 150-200 grams uncooked Jasmine rice
- 400 grams of Chinese myTofu
Vegetables:
- 1 White onion
- 1 Spring onion
- 1 Paprika
- 200 Grams of green beans
- 200 Grams of mushrooms
Sauce:
- Garlic
- Ginger
- 100ml soy sauce
- 1 ts sambal
- 1 ts sesam oil
- 1-2 tbs honey
- 1 ts onion powder
- 1 ts chinese five spices
- Rice whine
- Pepper
How to prepare
- Cut your white onions and spring onions.
- Cut your vegetables into pieces according to your preference.
- Cook your Rice for roughly 10 minutes.
- Cook your onions over medium high heat.
- In the meantime you can start boiling your green beans for roughly 10 minutes.
- Once your onions are caramelised, you can add your paprika and mushrooms.
- While the vegetables are cooking it’s time to make your sauce. For this you will firstly need to chop some garlic and ginger into really small pieces. Put the small pieces in a bowl and add 100ml of soy sauce, 1 teaspoon of sambal, 1-2 tablespoons of honey, 1 teaspoon of onion powder, 1 teaspoon of sesame oil, some pepper, if available a teaspoon of five spice mix, and if you have rice wine add a tablespoon of it to the sauce.
- Check on your rice and turn off the heat when your rice is ready.
- Drain your green beans and add them to your other vegetables.
